That's a very broad question. As a biologist you could research populations and conduct research highly relevant to wolf conservation without ever getting near a wolf, or you could volunteer at a local zoo just to be around them. Zoos are usually a good place to go for local jobs in Biology, ecology, etc. For a serious look at careers, I would suggest visiting the International Wolf Center (http://www.wolf.org/wolves/index.asp). You can find a lot of info there on the many kinds of jobs available. They have been lauded by many wolf researchers, including the famous Shaun Ellis. Acually, in fact, his story would also be a great resource. If wolves have a human poster-child, it's Shaun Ellis.
