Yes, they can, and usually do.
No, the Egyptian Cats (the pet ones, mind you, not the strays) were treated very well even being given temples when they died. The cats were even mummified!
Cats do not typically forgive easily when they are wronged or mistreated. They may hold onto negative feelings and may take time to rebuild trust with the person who mistreated them.
Technically neither one is incorrect. It is more grammatically correct to use this sentence; He felt he was being mistreated.
i would have to say the most likely ones would be dogs, cats, mice rats even chimpanzees which is horrible because they die in pain not peace.
Children being mistreated are usually put in foster care since just being mistreated says nothing about how well you will take care of yourself once emancipated. It also have to do with your age. The chance to get emancipated is a bit bigger when you are 17.
A cat's coat colour or pattern has nothing to do with its personality. Cats can be aggressive for many reasons, to as simple as not being neutered, to being mistreated somehow or even a mental condition. A cat being a certain colour (or a mix of colours) does not depict its personality.
the police
They were being mistreated by unfair governing
Probably not. An average person who is mistreated will experience one kind of mood; people into masochism will experience an entirely different mood when mistreated. Being mistreated is a description of a state, not a mood or feeling.
I am sorry to have mistreated you.I promise, no one will be mistreated again.
The Cat's Protection League is an organization which takes in homeless, abandoned or mistreated cats and kittens and looks after them. Sometimes, if an owner wants to go on holiday he\she can leave their cats at this sanctuary, where they will be looked after. But most are either adopted or cruelly mistreated. And Cat's Protection Leagues sometimes don't have funding for the government, that is why we always should donate to help them feed, water and look after the cats - keep them warm with big pens to run around in and lots of toys to keep them happy. Cats Protection Leagues stand up against the mistreating of our beloved felines, and so should we all.
