People are said to "fly", when they board a helicopter, airplane, jet or space shuttle. It follows that if air is also in the vehicle, and it is; then air can "fly" also.

An aircraft is designed to fly in 'air' there is no 'air' in space.
Planes are able to fly because they generate lift by moving air over their wings through propulsion from engines. This lift force counteracts the force of gravity, allowing the plane to overcome the downward pull and stay in the air.
You can't physicly fly, but you can ride in air planes and hot air balloons.
A properly designed aircraft most certainly can fly into the air.
