How do big cats kill?

cheetahs- they hunt usually by themselves or with cubs. they use either a slow sneak approach when they hunt alone or a flanking maneuver when with cubs or a mate. when a cheetah sees its prey and gets close enough, it will make a wild dash reaching around 60 mph in a straight line at the prey. since not many animals (if any) can outrun a cheetah, there is not much of a chance for the animal being hunted. The cheetah will bite at the neck of the animal and bring it down and hold its neck until eventually the animal dies of a broken neck.

tigers- a tiger will hunt alone most of the time. they like to stay hidden in bushes or around tall trees until very close to their prey. once they come into a close range, they will jump on their back and dig their claws into the spine. after that they will bite the back or neck and bring down the animal.

so in conclusion to this. most cats will hunt in packs of cats but when alone they still have a chance. all it takes in smooth sailing (being patient) and wait until a good moment to strike. the most common attack is a bite to the neck or mouth area which in lion terms is called the "kiss of death".

Well,According to me,the Lion can kill a baby elephant.But its not a much bigger kill.The Biggest kill of the lions actually is a full grown giraffe.But mind it that was not a walk in the park.Even lions have a trouble hunting bigger animals.Tigers on the other hand live alone.So there are little chances of a tiger taking on a bigger animal.Still Tigers can take on a full grown gaur.Cheetahs are built for speed and are very cautious.They are seen hunting a zebra but only in a coalition.According to me,the biggest prey a coalition of cheetahs has killed is an ostrich.A single cheetah is only able to overpower a baby wildebeast
