Well, Rabbits depending on the type, Usually don't live in city type areas with too many cars and people. I would say the closest to a city they would get to is the park. They would survive off of kale or grass.... maybe a near by pond.

Rabbits do indeed live in cities and towns. They survive mostly as they survive in the wild. They eat vegetables in people's gardens and elsewhere, they hold very still when being watched, they have great camoflage, and they make their dens under very thick bushes. They may dig a burrow, as well, to bear their baby rabbits in.
There are plenty of cottontail rabbits in my city, and I have never seen one in the street, let alone one squashed in the street. Squirrels, yes . . . rabbits, no.
