I generally bait opossums with a can of wet cat food...or my homemade stink bait for catfishing. That's made with bovine blood, dry cat food, garlic, chicken gizzards, fish guts, and any other organ meats (hearts, livers, lungs) This sits in a 5 gallon bucket in the summer sun with a cover and forms a thick stinky paste, but takes a month to make...opossums here love it.
you put a trap in the attic and leave awindow or ddoor open for it to have access to enter and then set soome bait for it and hopefully this will lure in the opossum and this is how you catch and opossum.
It wouldn't be very good for it to 'live' in a trap cage. It's best to let it free.
try to find it and get it back in its cage! Bait it with treats and favorite sleeping bags to try to capture it! good luck
A bal-chatri is a trap for catching hunting birds consisting of a cage with bait and a slip noose.
To use cat food as crab bait, simply place a small amount of cat food in a bait cage or trap and submerge it in the water where crabs are present. The strong scent of the cat food will attract the crabs, making it an effective bait option.

One of the most effective methods for creating homemade crab bait is to use a combination of fish scraps, chicken necks, and oily fish like mackerel or sardines. These ingredients can be mixed together and placed in a bait bag or cage to attract crabs. Additionally, adding a scent attractant like fish oil or clam juice can help increase the bait's effectiveness.
