you go the to the vet.
It really depends on age and what shots you're talking about. A cat needs an examination before it can be given a shot. This will probably run you around 100$. Rabies shots are REQUIRED and are around 50$. Total: 150$ However, as I said, it depends on how many shots and which ones you get. I don't buy the others since they ARE known to actually get cats sick. ALSO, please make sure your vet delivers them in a limb, not the torso. Usually, it's the right hind leg. (Shots have been proven to cause cancer and require amputation of the limb. Be wary and informed when getting your cats shots)

My sister gives our dogs all their shots except rabies. She can get the vaccine, but not the tag, so you wouldn't have an acceptable record to show for it. We are in NE Ohio. Here's a better answer... Yes you can. I live in Ohio and buy my dogs' rabies vaccines here: http://www.wholesalekennel.com It's in North Carolina. They send you the vaccine, syringe, certificate and tag. Very reasonably priced and shipped well packaged with a cold-pack to protect them from heat. They also have other medications and vaccinations. It saves a lot of trouble and expense by not having to haul all the animals down to the vet! Well, I'll one up the answer above... YES, you can have the Rabies vaccine shipped to your house in the state of Ohio (it is one of the few states as of right now that it is not illegal to ship it to); however, I must tell you that according to the state of Ohio your dog will not be deemed Rabies vaccinated because it was not given by a licensed veterinarian. In which case, if your dog ever bit anyone it would be put through the same quarantine and procedure as a dog that has never been rabies vaccinated. If you are unfamiliar with this, the dog is in quarantine for 10 days, no contact with any animals what-so-ever and minimal interaction with humans, if within those 10 days the dog shows symptoms that could be foreseen as a potential rabies case - well the dog will be euthanized and tested for rabies. All in all, it's just better to do it at a veterinarian.
ones a year
No it is not legal!!! Added: I would add this, for consideration; Unless the anti-rabies vaccine (of the kind that is usually preventively administered to cats and dogs in a veterinary clinic) is controlled as prescription medication, AND it's purchase is restricted strictly to Veterinary Medicine practitioners, I would research your state law to determine if the above answer is factual in your state. I don't believe that there is any law against self-administering approved medications of any type to your OWN domestic animals.
You buy them, by saving up money you can buy dogs.

You do not have to buy anything for the debutante if you're part of the eighteen shots. This is the part of the party where you describe the debutante and tell her what you think of her, then you drink a shot for her.
