Make sure the fuel tank is at least half empty before changing oil. 1. Run engine at least five minutes to warm up oil. 2. Stop engine and disconnect spark plug wire. 3. Remove dipstick. 4. Place drain pan on the left side of the mower. 5. Turn mower onto its left side so the fuel tank opening is at the highest point. 6. Drain oil fromthe dipstick filler tube into the drain pan. 7. After oil has drained, return mower to upright position and clean around dipstick filler tube. 8. Add oil through dipstick filler tube. Check oil until level is at FULL mark on dipstick. Take it to the dealer where you bought your lawn mower from. All you can do from the bottom is spin the engine with a hex bolt. Professional tools are required for this procedure.
