Plain, easily digested foods are usually best. Be sure to get as much fluid into your cat as possible as cats, like humans, get very dehydrated from vomiting or having diarrhoea.

Additionally, malt pastes such as Pro-kolin are an effective treatment for upset stomachs. Such pastes are beneficial to a cat as it helps promote a healthy digestive system and helps settle an upset stomach. You can get these via your vet.

It is recommended to take the cat to the vet if the diarrhoea does not clear up within a few days, or blood is present.
