How do you get cats to stop eating your cloths?

u can give it something a toy or its own cloth to play with so it wont think about your clothes. My cat also used to chew on my dads shoes so we gave her the shoe later on gave her a barney toy which she has till now and never chewed on shoes before try it,it might work.
