Well, if the hair ball is making the dog feel unwell it is best you take it to the vet 'cos you might harm it if you do it your self. And if you ARE a vet then I can't help you.
If a tiger or lion licks up to much fur, then yes, it can have a hairball.
Put a dab of vaseline on it's paw. He/she won't like it, and when it licks it off, that will make it easier for the hairball to come up.
If your cat is having difficulty coughing up a hairball, you should take them to the vet immediately. Hairballs can cause serious health issues if they become stuck, and a vet can help safely remove it. In the meantime, you can try giving your cat some hairball remedy gel to help lubricate the hairball and assist in its passage.
A dog with kennel cough can be contagious for up to 2 weeks after showing symptoms.
That's pretty normal for alot of chihuahuas. Chihuahua's have small tracheas and sometimes they close up or collapse. They "cough" to get air.
give your cat something called "catalax" i am not sure of the spelling, but it is a good tasting oily type thing that helps the hairball pass thru the intestines. make sure whatever you use is recommended by a veterinarian, or made specifically for that purpose.
Probably not, although it may help make your cat hate you and gag a lot. The hairball is lodged in the cat's stomach, so he is basically trying to throw up a wad of hair. Vaseline, or any petroleum jelly product, in the cat's mouth will just be a distraction that your cat will not thank you for.
if your dog continues to do this please consult a vet but i t may have something caught in its throught that caontinues to make it gag i do not know how to stop tht but a vet might it is possible tath the dog may have allergies though
Probably sick, or ate something bad
it could have eaten something sharp that would cut his/her stomach which would of coarse cause blood and make it cough up the blood
Ivy leaf can be used to help alleviate cough symptoms by acting as a natural expectorant, which can help to loosen mucus in the airways and make it easier to cough up. This can help to reduce coughing and improve breathing.
it usually mean that your dog has kennel cough. In some dogs it can lead to pneumonia or more serious signs. Cough suppressants can be used to control the cough and antibiotics may be necessary for stubborn infections or to try to stop the spread of the bacteria in multiple dog households.
