How do you identify that horse is not a ruminant?

They cannot regurgitate so unlike a ruminant you will never see a horse chewing it's cud. Ruminants all have cloven hooves and horses have a single hoof.

If you were dissecting horse it would have a simple stomach. Ruminants have

a complex stomach with four chambers.
