Get a few big size bottles of Tobasco sauce and pour it on the yard. Make a 15 foot swath around the side of the yard that the dog comes from. The CIA used to use this in order to prevent predators from picking up animal carcases that were hiding spy film or documents. Animals have a natural instinct to repel from Tobasco Sauce. Don't dilute it. You may have to respray it for about 5 - 6 weeks. The other thing is you can take a picture of the dog in your yard, and then show it to the Police department and file charges against the owner for a dog at large.

Red pepper should not harm plants in your garden if you sprinkle it around the plants to keep the cats and dogs away. However I would keep it away from the leaves and petals.
As long as your neighbors dont complain and they are all licensed I dont believe there is a limit.
My neighbors also do this. Is it really true? I am really eager to know?
No, but dog owners do have responsibilities to control their dogs and keep them from being a nuisance to neighbors. See the related link for the local ordinances.
One effective way to scare dogs away from your garden is to use natural deterrents like citrus peels, vinegar, or cayenne pepper. You can also install motion-activated sprinklers or ultrasonic devices specifically designed to repel dogs. Additionally, creating physical barriers such as fences or hedges can help keep dogs out of your garden.

I'm not sure about Scottish law, but in the US (and I would assume in Scotland as well), it's your fault. Since it was your trampoline, it's your responsibility to keep it from doing any harm.
it is a saying when two neighbors may be at each other's throats over some issue. When you keep them at bay, you are doing something to keep the peace to keep them away from you.
Vinegar will work. There are also some spray cans with a motion detector sold at pet stores that will scare the acts away from the furniture for good.
I would keep it in a garden or a garden like habitat
