Make your ferret like you by taking care of him properly with plenty of human interaction and playtime, 4 hours daily out of the cage, and proper nutrition/diet.

Try giving them their food mixed with water and add a supplement that all ferrets love(the most popular one is "FerreTone" and I use it as a treat for my ferret becuse she loves it s much). and mix it really well. They should love it... Make sure U add plenty of water especially as a baby. :)

If you have gotten your baby ferret from a pet store, it is probably overeating due to having to fight other ferrets over food when he was in transport (they are provided with little food) and at the pet store. Normally ferrets do not overeat and should have food and water available at all times. But in this case just limit his intake for a few days and he will settle down to normal eating habits.

If your ferret is not eating, it's usually an indication of an illness or disease and needs a checkup at the veterinarian. A sick ferret usually has to be hand fed a "duck soup" type meal by their owner. Warming your ferrets food will make it smell more and also you might have to make your ferret "taste" the food by putting a little bit on his mouth. Sick ferrets will not eat at all and can die within a few days without supportive care.
