We had the same issue. This is a glitch in the game that happens to everyone with collars on more than one cub, and might happen any time you go to the bonding circle. pause the game and exit. Sign in to xbox live. Go back to the game. Say yes to the update. If for whatever reason you can't go on xbox live, you are out of luck. Unless you can do what I said at the end of this lenghy answer. You have to restart the game and only ever put collars on one pet. Yes, is stupid, that's why there's an update. Everyone should read this to prevent kids from having to restart the game and possibly have the same issue again. We were actually able to get rid of the map when we selected back to start menu. But we were facing the huts on the left. We could see my clouded leopard who should have had a collar, but she didn't. If you can move your hand to the select place when the map's in the middle of your screen, you might be able to select a cub and go somewhere else. Put you're hand out towards the bottom middle of the screen.

Do you mean finished? If so, when you find felis aurum, unlock all cubs, get 6 gold trophies, and unlocked all achivements, then there is nothing for you to do except randomly play. If you mean fished I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about
Can you still get a beginning animal in kinectimals after you've chosen?
Yes, but there's no straightfoward way to get a specific one. Sometimes when you're playing, you'll see a blurb in the top left corner say there's a new animal in fur town. (make sure you've installed the update or only have collars on one pet, or you'll have a chance of getting stuck with the map in the center of the screen. Anyways, in the center, you'll see one of the original 5 cubs. I don't now of a shortcut to do this, only that you unlock it after doing a random challenge. So if you're kid is sad that they picked the tiger instead of the lion, tell them that the lion loves them, and will show up when it feels like it. (or whatever)
