^ This was the original answer. While for the most part I agree, I just want to add that an albino rats do have impaired eyesight as well as sense of smell.

You will notice that your albino rat will engage in head swaying. This helps them see better.

Also, your albino rat's eyes are more sensitive to light and damage in general.

Polka Dot is my first rat and she is also albino. She's gorgeous and lovely but you can tell when I rearrange her cage, put her someplace she hasn't been, or put her in her ball she does have a very hard time seeing where she's going.

Just remember, especially when first bonding with your albino rat, that you need to take things slower than with other rats.
