You can tell if your pug is in season by observing signs such as swelling of the vulva, increased urination, and changes in behavior, like increased affection or restlessness. You may also notice a bloody discharge, which is common during this time. Typically, a dog will be in season for about two to three weeks, with the most fertile period occurring around the middle of this cycle. If you're unsure, consulting a veterinarian can provide more specific guidance.
Most vets can tell a pretty close guess. Some will for free.
A pug dog has a black mask. If it is an all black pug dog you cannot tell, but on a fawn-colored pug dog you can. The pug has a black marking that goes around its mouth and eyes, which is often called a mask.

A similar thing has happened with my pug on a few occasions. A simple answer is that your pug has an ear infection. This is definetly an issue around allergy season or if bacteria is growing in your dogs ear. If you contact your vet they should recommend a cream antibiotic. The flap ear of the pug is a perfect breeding ground for bacteria with a moist warm environment so be sure to keep it clean!
A pug. A pekinese, not quite sure of the spelling.
