Feed on schedule, especially puppies. Put them in house kennels at the same time in the evening, let 'em out and feed them at roughly the same time in the morning (keep in mind pups will need to relieve themselves about 1/2 hour after eating).
If they raise caine during the night (before breakfast), often a couple of nights in "time out" will fix it. Get up and take the kennel to someplace you don't have to listen to the noise but they'll be comfortable (I use the garage, but have a heated garage). Don't yell or hit the dog, you're making it worse! Just remove it from the normal environment. If the behavior continues, get recommendations for area trainers that know your breed from several Vets and consult them.
