keep the cage cleen first of all and use a 'mites and lice spray'
edit::: sometimes an unclean cage may be to blame. so don't assume that a dirty cage is the issue.
shave it's hair off and bathe it and the lice will go away before the hair grose back i have a guinea pig and that happened to me and it worked
No, the human strain of lice can not be transmitted to guinea pigs and vice versa.
Generally, no. The lice that guinea pigs get is mostly species-specific. This means that only guinea pigs, or, quite possibly, other small rodents. Check your other small pets or other cage mates because they might have lice also. If your pet does have lice, immediately take your pet to the vet because guinea pig lice is usually blood-sucking and can do damage in the long-run.
Lice do not generally live in animal fur. I'm 99% sure that parasites that live on guinea pigs will not transfer to human skin.
Yes.
It sounds fair buying them from either, but it does depend on how well they treat the guinea pigs..
Ask a veterinarian what you can do.
You get a treat, then you tell it to do something and then help it out, and then you give it the treat!! ( This is true!)
Guinea pigs can eat watermelon rinds and it is a awesome treat.
Take your guinea pig to the vet if something seems wrong...
No humans can not give lice to guinea pigs. Guinea pigs and small animals all have a different type of lice that can spread from pig to pig. Humans can't give it to pigs and pigs can't give it to humans, but they can give it to other small animals so be carfeful.
yes its a great treat!
