Monkeys die for the same reasons anything else does, either humans hunt them to extinction or we kill them indirectly by destroying their habitats (whether it be from logging their forests or polluting their habitats).

Spider monkeys have a very unique way of how they die. They CAN die of natural causes, but the one thing that can kill them are rose buds. if they even get close enough to brush past one they will break out in a very serious rash or sore. if they pick or bite at it and get the bud's poison digested, they die. hows that for food for thought? haha
