It doesn't. It just lays eggs!!
Has sex with a boy chicken (a rooster).
Chickens do not get pregnant.

Chickens lay an egg whether or not there is a rooster involved and embryo formation happens in an egg shell outside of the body of the hen.

As for fertilization, the rooster mounts a chicken and touches his cloaca to the hens cloaca and deposits a sperm sac into the hen. The sperm sac travels to the ovaries of the hen where over the course of several ovulation's a single sperm cell is released onto the yolk as it travels down the oviduct.

A hen can therefore produce a fertilized egg days after the rooster was involved.

Chickens, like other birds, go through cycles of laying eggs. During the cycle, a chicken will lay a single egg every morning. This will happen for maybe a month, sometimes more, before she takes a break. Some chickens will lay up to 320 eggs per year!

Now, when an egg is developing inside of a chicken, a rooster may approach her and through a simple form of intercourse, fertilize the egg. A fertilized egg, when incubated by its mother, will become a chick. Chickens, however, do not need for their eggs to be fertilized. They will lay eggs, fertilized or not. These are the eggs that humans eat.

When someone owns an egg-producing chicken, he will go out to the coop in the morning and remove the egg before the chicken decides to try incubation. The chicken will assume she isn't doing something right and will naturally try again. The process of making eggs could last a few years--while she is in her "prime"--or, she may begin "brooding." Brooding is when chickens get frustrated by not laying eggs that hatch into chicks. They don't understand that the eggs have not been fertilized, and therefore think that each egg should become a chick. When a chicken is brooding she will, of her own free will, stop producing eggs. The owner of the chicken will then have to coax her into egg production again by allowing for a rooster to fertilize an egg, boosting her spirits.

So, for those people who believe the eggs they're eating were on their way to becoming cute baby chicks, it isn't so. The eggs we eat were never fertilized and could never have become babies.
They don't,a rooster will do a dance, and will mount the hen, fertilize her and leave.(not the flock, just off her)
They are mated with the cockerel.
