Chest size alone is not enough to make any comparisons, it needs to be related to the overall body size and indeed the body shape.
Some dogs like the gray hound have large chests because after an exhausting run they need large lungs to help them breath easier when they are panting hard and need to take in enough air.

they are basically wolves so of course they had to be able to run fast to catch their prey, but some were bred FOR speed so they developed differen't noses and longer legs as well as other traits that greatly increase the speed.
Greyhounds have a narrow chest due to their specific breeding for speed and agility. This body structure reduces wind resistance, allowing them to achieve high velocities during races. Additionally, a narrow chest accommodates their long, lean muscles and helps maintain a streamlined shape, which is essential for their performance as racing dogs. This anatomical feature is characteristic of breeds developed for sprinting, emphasizing efficiency and speed.

The same as in humans through there arm or chest area.
Razor edge dogs came from game dogs but today they are concidered bullies and they look as such. When a dog looks like that, I know for fact that the dog is not game. In a dog has a oversized head for a pitbull that is clue that it is not game. If the paws are shorter that a real pitbull is another clue a dog is not game.
