Well conformation wise the shoulder angle mainly affects the horses stride more so than anything else. But that being said if a horses shoulder is angled at 45 degrees or so the stride will be better, allowing the horse to freely balance it's body. If it is steeper than this the stride can become choppy and the horse may become heavy on the forehand and tend towards 'dragging' it's own body rather than pushing forward with it's hind legs. Also stepper shoulders can sometimes lack muscling and make the body balance look off, but this can occur in a well sloped shoulder as well.

The optimal angle for shoulder flexion to achieve a 90-degree angle is approximately 150 degrees.

What is the optimal angle for shoulder flexion when performing exercises that require 90 degree shoulder flexion?

The optimal angle for shoulder flexion when performing exercises that require 90 degree shoulder flexion is 30 degrees.

How do you measure a horse's shoulder angle?

To measure a horse's shoulder angle, you would typically need a special tool called a scapula gauge. This tool is placed on the horse's shoulder to measure the angle between the shoulder blade and the withers. It is important to have the horse stand square and relaxed for an accurate measurement.

Angle of inclination of humerus?

The angle of inclination of the humerus is approximately 135 degrees, measuring the angle between the shaft of the humerus and the anatomical neck when viewed from the front. This angle is important for assessing shoulder joint stability and function. Any deviations from this angle can affect the biomechanics of the shoulder joint.
