Cheetahs are light, loosely-jointed, and flexible. This all helps them run, as it uses the least amount of energy to carry less weight, thus you can be faster with that. Loose joints, like their shoulders, make it so that bones won't grind against each other as they rotate quickly. Being flexible, like at the spine, allows for them to launch themselves into longer strides, going up to 25 feet in one stride. I hope this helps, because I learned it all from documentaries ^-^
