The wood bison has adapted to the taiga ecozone through several key traits. It has a thick, shaggy coat that provides insulation against the cold temperatures and harsh winters typical of this region. Additionally, its large size and robust build help it navigate the snowy terrain, while its diet includes grasses, sedges, and other vegetation that thrive in the taiga. These adaptations enable the wood bison to survive and thrive in the challenging conditions of its habitat.
Yes, there's the Wood Bison, Siberian Crane, and Siberian Tiger!
Wood bison, Siberian crane, Beavers, and Siberian tiger are four I can name. The wood bison, beaver, and tiger are endangered from being over hunted for their fur (as well as their meat for the bison). The crane is threatened by pollution of it's habitat. Measures are currently being taken to increase the population of these creatures.

list 4 competing land uses in the mixed wood plains ecozone
Wood Bison
Primarily open grasslands. Wood bison or bison that are a mix of wood and plains bison, will also live in or near forested areas.
Plains bison and wood bison are two distinct subspecies of American bison, primarily differentiated by their habitat and physical characteristics. Plains bison are typically found in open grasslands and have a more robust build with a larger hump and shorter legs, while wood bison inhabit forested areas and are generally taller and leaner, with a smaller hump. Additionally, wood bison are less social and tend to form smaller herds compared to the more gregarious plains bison. Conservation status also varies, with wood bison being classified as a threatened species in some areas.
Snow Leopards, Siberian Tiger, Siberian Crane, Wood Bison (Buffalo), Peregrine Falcon, Whopping Crane, Canada Lynx (which has some special circumstances involved in it's listing), and the Beaver ( which was hunted almost to extinction in the 1600's).

Fortunately for the Wood Bison that live in Wood Bison National Park of Northern Alberta into the Northwest Territories, there are plenty of trees around to keep them sheltered from the nasty winter storms that blow through. The bison also huddle together to keep warm, keeping the little ones in the middle, and also have an ingrained knowledge of sweeping snow aside with their hairy massive heads to get at the grass down at the bottom.
