Claws on the front feet are longer than on the back feet typically, but the ones on the front can be up to several inches long...3 inches at most...shorter than that of grizzly bears. Bears claws grow during their winter sleep and so are longest when they emerge from their dens and are worn down from digging, climbing, and general wear and tear.
