A Great Dane should not really have any exercise or play after eating, as they need to allow their food to digest, which takes a long time for Danes. Exercise or play straight after eating can injure a Great Dane internally (inside) and can eventually lead to death because it is not easy to spot and often later on in the injury the vet cannot do anything to help.

Therefore, I strongly recommend that you wait at LEAST an hour and a half if not two hours before resuming play or exercise.

Is it bad when a Great Dane is born without a tail?

A Great Dane born without a tail, known as being "tailless," is not necessarily bad in terms of health, as some dogs are born without tails due to genetic factors. However, it can impact their communication and expression, as tails play a significant role in canine body language. It's important to monitor the dog's overall health and behavior, and consult a veterinarian if any concerns arise. Ultimately, a tail-less Great Dane can still lead a happy and fulfilling life.
