Female Weddell Seals have been known to grow as long as 3.3 m (10.8 feet). Males are slightly smaller.
because they are small seals
Weddell seals were named after the Weddell Sea, which was named in honor of the Scottish sailor James Weddell, who explored the region in the early 19th century. However, the first scientific description of the species was made by the naturalist and explorer John Edward Gray in 1844. While Weddell seals were known to indigenous peoples long before European exploration, their formal identification in scientific literature is attributed to Gray's work.
they can hold there breathes up to 20-30 minutes
Elephant seals can't breathe under water at all. when they dive, they hold their breath.
They dive in the water and catch fish with their sharp teeth! They can dive for a long time and they can go to deep depths!! I was thinking of this too and i learned that from some other webs
Weddell seals are typically 2.3 to 3.5 meters (7.5 to 11.5 feet) in length and weigh between 400 to 600 kilograms (880 to 1,320 pounds), making them one of the largest seal species.
Two main types of seals are found in the seas around Antarctica, the Weddell Seal and the Leopard Seal. The 'biggest' may depend on an individual animal, since their measurements are not far apart. From Wikipedia:"Weddell seals measure about 2.5-3.5 m (8.2-11.5 ft) long and weigh 400-600 kg (880-1360 lb).The overall length of a Leopard seal is 2.4 - 3.5 m (8.4 - 11.7 ft) and weight is from 200 to 600 kilograms (440 to 1,320 lb)."
