Raccoons will usually stay with the mother for the first 6 months of their lives. Many will stay until they are nearly a year old. The male has nothing to do with raising the kits.
Kits, or young foxes, typically stay with their parents for about 4 to 6 months after birth. During this period, they learn essential survival skills, such as hunting and social behavior. After this time, they may begin to disperse and establish their own territories. However, some may remain in the parental territory for a longer duration before fully venturing out on their own.
as long as they need to.
A fox family consists of the parents and 4-6 kits. Sometimes older kits from the previous year may stay with the family group to help raise the new young.

Badger parents typically care for their kits for about 10 to 12 weeks after they are born. During this period, the mother is primarily responsible for nursing and protecting the young, while the father may help by providing food. Once the kits are weaned, they start to venture outside the den, but they usually stay with their parents for several months before becoming independent. By autumn, the young badgers are generally self-sufficient.
The kits will slowly wander from the den as they grow older. They will start to learn how to live without another's ( the mother's) help. As they venture, they will find a mate. Once they find a mate, they find a new den and settle down. So about 3-4 months.
