Hello, i am a vet and i researched wildlife and pets for over 10 years, grizzlys as in bears only hibernate in winter, which is usally November to march. Which is 5months. So there is your answer. However, some are quite silly and forget to fish, so some get very hungry through their sleep and wake up, their fur is very thic but if a mother bear wakes up the baby bear would to, the baby bear has not got that much fur and usally freeze to death
