How long should one wait before trying to get preg after a miscarriage?

It will depend on your own feelings and situations, you will know within yourselt when you feel the time is right. Go by your own instincts, don't feel pressured and listen to your own body signs, be true to yourself, don't rush, it takes time and patience to get back to 'normal'. Look after yourselt first and formost. Psychologically the above answer is absolutely correct. Physically you can get pregnant after two weeks, before your next period. Probably better to wait until after your next period so you have an accurate datefor calculating your due date. Surprisingly, many women have a baby very near the first anniversary of the miscarriage, so they are pregnant within 3 months.

thats a really hard question! Nobody can answer that for you. i had a miscarriage 6 months ago and have been actively tryint to conceivev for 3 months. you have to feel ready to move on. also take into consideration your body will need time to recover. -well i just found out 9/1/09 i had a blighted ovum miscarriage the doc wants me to have a d&c done but id rather let it pass on its own..because if you get a d&c you have to wait thru 3 menstrual cycles before trying to conceive again. but if u let it pass the doc told me women who have miscarriages and are more likely to be fertle right after. however i would still wait a few weeks to try to give your body some rest. best of luck to u always-

Most doctors ask couples to wait at least one period before trying to conceive again, mainly for the dates. But, if you feel that you are ready emotionally, then their should be no problem with trying right away. It really is better to ask your physician.
