The Bible account of Dorcas' resurrection by Peter doesn't say how long she had been dead. Acts 9:36-42 -- "But in Jop´pa there was a certain disciple named Tab´i·tha, which, when translated, means Dor´cas. She abounded in good deeds and gifts of mercy that she was rendering. But in those days she happened to fall sick and die. So they bathed her and laid her in an upper chamber. Now as Lyd´da was near Jop´pa, when the disciples heard that Peter was in this city they dispatched two men to him to entreat [him]: "Please do not hesitate to come on as far as us." At that Peter rose and went with them. And when he arrived, they led him up into the upper chamber; and all the widows presented themselves to him weeping and exhibiting many inner garments and outer garments that Dor´cas used to make while she was with them. But Peter put everybody outside and, bending his knees, he prayed, and, turning to the body, he said: "Tab´i·tha, rise!" She opened her eyes and, as she caught sight of Peter, she sat up. Giving her his hand, he raised her up, and he called the holy ones and the widows and presented her alive. This became known throughout all Jop´pa, and many became believers on the Lord".

Yes, Andrew Wommack's son, Peter, was raised from the dead after a tragic accident in 2001. Following a drowning incident, Peter was reportedly without a pulse for approximately five hours. Andrew Wommack and his family prayed for his revival, and Peter was subsequently revived, which they attribute to divine intervention. This event is often cited in Wommack's ministry as a testament to faith and the power of prayer.

What was Peter doing at Simon the Tanner's house?

Acts 9:43 records that he was staying there while in Joppa. Earlier in the chapter he had raised Tabitha (Dorcas) from the dead and many people had believed as a result of this miracle. Although the Bible does not state directly it suggests he was there to preach, encourage and strengthen the brethren. At the time the envoys from Cornelius came, Peter was praying and in the middle of seeing a vision, which led directly to him going with these men and the conversion of Cornelius and his household -the first recorded Gentile converts.

Who was brought back to life in the Bible?

This is a difficult question and no definitive answer can be given. There are specific references to people who came back to life, including: 1. Elijah raised the son of the Zarephath widow from the dead (1 Kings 17:17-22). 2. Elisha raised the son of the Shunammite woman from the dead (2 Kings 4:32-35). 3. A man was raised from the dead when his body touched Elisha's bones (2 Kings 13:20, 21). 4. Many saints rose from the dead at the resurrection of Jesus (Matt. 27:50-53). 5. Jesus raised the daughter of Jairus from the dead (Luke 8:41, 42, 49-55). 8. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead (John 11:1-44). 9. Peter raised Dorcas from the dead (Acts 9:36-41). 10. Eutychus was raised from the dead by Paul (Acts 20:9, 10). 11. Other references are much less specific, or prophetic, which would include Ezekiel 37:1-10 and Revelation 11:1-12.
