When a leopard gecko lays a clutch of eggs, generally there will be two eggs deposited 2-4" deep into soil. Although there have been cases where one egg is laid or even 3, 2 eggs are laid at a time. Each egg will contain one embryo if fertilized. Again, there has been some cases where two individual geckos were present in one egg. There have also been deformities where an animal was hatched with two heads on one body, or extra limbs or even 2 animals joined at the waist.
