This depends on where you are going and the terrain.

Horses can manage a comfortable pace of about 20 to 30 miles per day, walking at 3 to 4 miles per hour. Horses with great stamina can trot at 10 mph for up to a half hour, or run at top speed (about 30 mph) for short distances.
