Humpbacks in numbers are not called pod. The word researchers use for baleen animals is GROUP. A group can be one or more. Baleen whales, in general, do not travel in large groups like toothed cetaceans do. Groups can be up to 8 to 10 when feeding, but it is rare to see groups larger than that, unless in breeding grounds where males compete to gain favor with a female in the area. There we have seen the groups form SUPER GROUPS of more than 15 males!
