Having had both, Labs tend to stay "puppies" nearly their entire life. They also tend to chew more (or mine did). Both are great family dogs and very protective. While Labs shed, it is nothing compared to how Shepherds shed!!
Shed = Schuppen Garage = Garage
They shed lightly year round
They shed more if the weather is hotter and they shed less if the weather is colder.
Schuppen
Yes.
Yes, they shed on the average twice a year but others may shed slightly all throughout the year.
yes, they shed during the winter and late fall months
All lizards shed their skin once in a while and so does the komododragon.
Geckos shed their skin about once every 1-2 months.
Mostly in spring months from losing their winter coat, which is always when its the thickest.
Chow Chows are seasonal shedders and shed heavily. There is a dense undercoat as well as a topcoat; therefore, a Chow Chow needs daily brushing. The hair tends to gather in tumbleweed like clusters rather than lay flat like the hair of other breeds, making clean-up somewhat easier.
