Yes you can die from a cat who has perhaps scratched or bit you that has Rabies. It is best to have the cat examined and quarantined by a Veterinarian if you have any questions and were bit or scratched by this same cat.

My friend had Cat-Scratch-Fever, and yes, it's a real thing. That means that her cat had something dangerous to eat our drink, and when she scratched my friend, just being playful, hurt her terribly. She is still in the hospital right now. Pray for her. Her name is Rachel.
