Answer:papillons usually cost around 100-500 dollars- if you buy from the right place. i wouldn't buy from someone who would say 1000 or something. A papillon is usually 5-800 dollars. I got mine at a shelter so she was a lot cheaper. I know she isn't a mutt because she was previously a breeding Papillon. The best idea would be to look around at shelters.

Depends. You can get them for thousands of dollars at a breeder/pet store; or you can go to you local shelter or Papillon rescue and get if for a few hundred if not less. You also save a life!!!

It depends on the breeder, of course. I just got a papillon puppy from a breeder. In my search I saw all kinds of prices. $650, $900, $1200 (most common), $1500 and $1800. The prices seem to go up depending on the quality of the dog. That is, breeders with many champion show dogs in the lines charge more, even for a pet/companion. You can usually get an adult papillon from a breeder for less. I've seen $700,$900 and $1000. These are usually b!tches that are former champions. With an adult you already know the temperament and what the dog will look like.

Show dogs can cost $2500 or more have there are usually a stipulation that either the breeder co-owns the dog and/or will get pick of the b!tch's litter.

I will say that you don't want to bargain shop for a purebreed dog. If you can't spend a lot, rescue a dog. If you penny-pinch, it's likely that the breeder didn't go the distance in terms of DNA testing and other measures to ensure the sire and dam were good breeding stock. This could result in heartbreak in the future if your dog has some serious genetic defect.

I truly believe "you get what you pay for".

Well it depends on the place your buying it from. I bought my papillon puppy for at least 700 dollars. And he was on sale.
