It is estimated that there are 3,500 to 7,000 Snow Leopards left in the wild. While there are 600 to 700 in captivity. According to the International Union of Conservation for Nature, also known as IUCN Red List, the Snow Leopard is listed as "endangered" with a population trend of "decreasing".
