first answer: twice

another answer: Actually, how often a rabbit drinks water in one day depends on lots of different factors, like:

  • the weather -- on a hot day a rabbit will drink more often
  • the water content of the foods he ate -- freshly-rinsed greens have lots of water in them, unlike pellets and hay
  • how active he's been -- exercise makes you thirsty

On average, rabbits drink between 25 and 75mL per day per 1lb of body weight.

If you have a pet bunny, you should give him or her a water bottle or a bowl, or both! You should keep the dishes clean (with hot, soapy water) and replace the water daily -- even if it seems like he's not drinking it! Because you'll never know when he'll need it.
