How many times do you feed ferrets?

a ferret should be fed up to about 1 to 2 times a week or depending on size 1 to 5 times a week. if it weighs more than 7lbs then feed it 1 to 5 times. if less then 1 to 2. ferrets can be an aggressive but if in the hands of an expert or have been told how to handle the ferret it can be better behaved than usual. remember to stop mucking about and feed the ferret when it needs fed. if you don't feed it then give it to a farm or something before it turns on you. if you do not hear it making a sound for more than a week,then take it to a local vet.

For baby ferrets still nursing, at about three weeks of age, feed a wet food or kibble watered down to the consistency of oatmeal. Don't leave wet food out, remove after they have eaten. Feed about three times a day. For an older baby ferret weaned from it's mother, you need to leave food (kibbled) and water available at all times. But also feed a moistened kibble or wet food about every for hours until your ferret gets accustomed to dry food.

Ferrets should have a constant supply of food as they like to eat little and often rather than in large meals. Make sure they also have constant supply of fresh water as some ferrets will refuse to eat if there is no water nearby.

Cleaning

Litter boxes - cleaned 2-3 times a day (depending on how many ferrets you have)

Food bowls, water bowls and water bottles - washed daily

Blankets and bedding - washed on a hot wash twice a week

Toys - washed once a week

Their cage - taken apart and completely cleaned every 1-2 weeks (depending on how much time they spend in it)

When cleaning use mild, natural products and use them sparingly as using them too much can cause skin, lung, paw and stomach irritation. Make sure to rinse everything very thoroughly.
