I have always fed my adult pugs twice a day. While many people feed their dogs only once a day, I have found that feeding them half the recommended daily amount twice a day helps prevent stomach upset, and is easier on the pancreas, too. And, since they get a few little treats throughout the day, they don't go hungry at all.
When the pug is young at least 5 times a day. But as it grows up and learns how to " hold it" only about 2 to 3 times a day at the most.
No. If you have seen the movies Men In Black and Men In Black 2, the little dog named Frank is a pug. A mastiff is about 5 maybe 6 or 7 times bigger than a puny pug. A mastiff can eat a pug for an appetizer.
Pugs do not have many taste buds and love food, so they will literally attempt to eat almost anything.
No, the Pug sheds constantly, if not every day.
Yes they can. Your pug wouldn't put up much of a fight. They will eat cats too.
no they are NOT cannibals
A pug puppy should eat 4 times a day up to 4mths of age when he can go down to 3 feeds a day, the quantity should be approx 400 grams per day TOTAL of wet food, If he is still hungry he could have a little more. At 7 months he can start adult food (this contains less protein) and then you will need to start monitoring his weight as pugs tend to overeat. Every dog is different but I usually let my small puppies eat as much as they like as puppies should be a little podgy :) An Adult pug should eat between 100 to 150 grams of wet food morning and evening depending on the amount of exercise he gets. If he seems over weight this can be reduced slightly.
pugs eat with there mouth like any other dog would
Two half cups a day of weight control dog food because they get fat very easily.
Yes
My pug just ate a couple frozen blueberries and a couple frozen chunks of mango. veggies she is not as fond of but will eat some hummus or spagheti sauce with meat
