I also got paid $13.00 hr which sucked because if you work hourly the company tries to get in as many dog in as little time as possible. One other job was 50% with benefits. Now I have my own business and I make 100% and I still get tips. Do your time get all kinds of help on different ways and styles find your own style. And in the future open your own shop. I work in a grooming salon, and the shampoos we use are pretty much fragrance free by the time the dog is dry. We spray all our dogs with dog cologne unless the owner specifies otherwise.
