Hemingway/Mitten/Polydactyl cats & kittens are not a breed! The Polydactyl trait can be found in a lot of different breeds of cats, but mostly in domestic house cats. And in fact, in a lot of "pure bred" cats, the extra toes that make them so unique is NOT desired and real breeders try to bred this gene out of their litters. To answer your question directly, unless the kittens are of pure bred lineage, they aren't worth more then a domestic house cat (most of these kittens are given away for free!), and more still, if they are of pure bred lineage, they're probably worth less then a breeder would normally sell kittens for (and the majority of the time, the breeder will sell these "Hemingway" kittens with a contract to spay or neuter the kitten so this gene is not carried on into another generation). Sorry, but I really don't think they're worth anything. Although it's not a real common trait, it's not exactly uncommon, either.
The cost of a Hemingway cat can vary, but on average they typically range from $100-$500, depending on factors like pedigree, age, and location. It's important to ensure you are purchasing from a reputable breeder who prioritizes the health and well-being of their cats.
The Hemingway house is in Key West. The "animal attraction" is the Hemingway cat, which have more than five toes per paw. Any cat having more than five toes on a paw is referred to as polydactyl. The Hemingway cats are so well known that almost any polydactyl cat is called a Hemingway cat, regardless of where the cat is from.

No, but polydactyl cats are often sought after. Hemingway was famous for owning them. The extra toes are caused by a genetic anomaly which affects cats of all types, including purebred cats. However, it is not a preferred trait for breeders. In general, they should not cost any more than a cat from the pound would cost, with spaying and shots.
Herman Hesse Ernest Hemingway, owner of the Hemingway breed of cats polydactls. They have six toes instead of five.
The term Hemingway is used for cats, and is not breed specific: it is a cat with extra claws or toes. (they display polydactylism aka polydactyly or hyperdactyly)
