Yes.
Male Guinea Pigs are called Boars, female Guinea Pigs are called Sows, and babby Guinea Pigs are called Pups. A group of Guinea Pigs is called a Herd. :)
the biggest recorded litter of guinea pigs is 65 owned by Sammy kieski and the mother died while having the 65
Yes, they will if allowed to.
Since litter means trash that is not in the trash can, guinea pigs don't tend to come from a "litter". Of course, if you find a guinea pig in a pile of litter you can always let me know.
This is because that Guinea Pig is not litter trained.A Litter trained Guinea Pig poops only in a certain place or things.
yes i am pretty sure they could.
Average litter size for guinea pigs is from 1 - 6.
I'm not quite sure but I think it's the same with male hampsters. When a female has her litter(for hampsters) you absolutly MUST keep the male away from the litter or he will start to eat the babies. I am sure that is the same with guinea pigs. My suggestion is do that just to be safe. I'm not quite sure but I think it's the same with male hampsters. It doesnt really count on the year it matters on the life span only 4 litters a year is the maximum.
A litter of guinea pigs can range anywhere from one to six babies. Because of this large variation, I find it is helpful to breed two females at a time so that they can care for each other's young. Guinea pigs are very social creatures by nature, so keeping mutliple guinea pigs together is a good idea.
No, I doubt it. I do have a friend who has a rabbit and guinea pig in the same hutch but guinea pigs are more friendly to there own species; especially if they're from the same litter.
