You can feed it about 2 or 3 times a day with just a small amount of food. You can feed them fruits and vegetables when they are 7 weeks old. You can only feed them a SMALL amount of fruits and vegetables at a time and if they are still pooping the same then give them a little more so you have to kind of experiment a little. Predators eat dutch rabbits. Predators eat any kind of rabbit. That includes foxes, coyotes, dogs, cats, and... well, you get the picture.

Depending on where you live, you can keep your rabbit safe on an outside deck with a roof. Put up something beside it to keep it safe from wind and rain.

How much a rabbit eats depends on its size.

Pellet-only Diet: Pet rabbits eat about a small bowl of food each day. The bowl is about the size of the bowls they serve soup or horseradish in at restaurants. Only one a day though. Don't feed them every time their food bowl gets empty, or else they'll get diarrhoea.

Pellet-only diets are not healthy for rabbits (see links below for sources). Too many pellets can lead to obesity in bunnies, which can cause other problems (like skin infections, because the rabbit can't groom itself properly; and "sore hocks," meaning inflamed and infected heels, because there's too much weight; and Arthritis, and organ problems). Pellets should be restricted: a general portion guide is 1/4cup per day for a normal, healthy 6 pound rabbit. To make up for eating less pellets, rabbits can eat a "salad" every day (2-3 cups for a 6 pound rabbit). Salad for a rabbit means a mix of fresh, dark-coloured leafy greens (like Romaine lettuce, dandelion, basil, and carrot tops - carrots themselves are sugary and should be considered a treat). Not all plants are safe for rabbits, so do research before giving any plant to your rabbit.

In addition to pellets and salad, rabbits should have unlimited access (24/7!) to fresh water and hay. Hay is a great way to encourage digestive health (the high fibre content keeps their guts running), dental health (eating hay wears down the teeth), and mental health (rabbits like to graze, so this keeps them entertained).

Fresh treats include fruits and vegetables. (Again, not all plants are safe for rabbits, so do research first.) Treats should be limited or else the rabbit will get sick. The House Rabbit Society recommends no more than 2 tablespoons per day of fresh treats for a normal, healthy 6 pound rabbit.
