Owning a Horse is very expensive.

Depending on how much you feed your horse will vairy the price. Though the average price for the feed per fortnight is $80-120.

Stable prices vairy from $30-80 per week.

If you board a horse, its from $400,to keep him/her outside or at a run-down barn, about $600 to keep him/her at in a stall but at a some-what well kept barn, about $800 if you want ur horse to have the best, including, well kept barn, nice clean tack room, organized feed room, great stalls(cleaned out everyday, water in buckets, fan, and care.) ,or there is also $1,000 to keep him/her at a SHOW enforced barn. It all comes down to how much you want to spend on giving your horse the best he/she can get. Then you could aslo keep him/her at your house, if you have the room. A horse needs at least an acre to rome freely(gated in) then you have to pay for GRAIN, HAY, FARRIER, LESSONS, and stress about being out there every morning to feed him/ her and turn them out/ in. So like I sadi it all comes down to how much you want to spend. Baisically just keep it healthy...FOOD, WATER, shelter (12x12 stall) shoes (optional), and vet shots-de-wormer, etc. But if you have only one acre for the horse then you will have to pay a whole lot more money in food. For one horse you probably need at least three acres. How much money you spend depends on your choices of how you own your horse. Right now I don't give my horse shoes. I just clipp it's hoves every three or four weeks. So i Spend $120.00 every 6 months and an average of $45.00 once a month. If you board your horse your spending way more money than needed. i own two Quater horses right now.

This depends greatly on where you live, if the horse is in a stall, a paddock or an open field. It could be as little as $60.00 per month or as much (or more) than $500.00/month. The best thing to do is to look in the yellow pages and call some boarding stables for fees in your area. The newspaper classified, under Pets or Horses will often also have ads which can give you a general idea of cost in your area.

It really depends on a couple of things: 1. what state you live in, and 2. what you plan to do with the horse. I'm in Southern California, (w/o access to grazing), and do not have a trainer. (Those usually run about $240 a month out here.) I pay a little over $350 each month, and that's on a tight budget. My feed bill is around $100 a month for one 15 hh Quarter Horse mare, and board is about $200. It's another $50 each month to pay someone to feed and clean. Then, you have the farrier every 6-8 weeks, and he runs about $100 for me.

Well it costs about £500 a month if you want to rent a stable. You can rent in vaxhall city farm.

For food it's about £25 - £3o a food pack average size. You might have to buy one every week. You'll also need small treats like suger cubes or carots. They cost about £6 pounds for 5.

For horse riding lessons about £50 a lesson.

For hay about £30.

I would think very carefully before buying a horse as they cost more than £5000 a month to keep. My horse is called Choclate button, I keep him at Vaxhall city Farm, take lessons there and have a personel trainer. He costs £8500 to keep a month.
