Yes, a dog over 50 pounds is considered by many to be a "large dog." My dog is 57 pounds and I feed her large dog food. She is very healthy and muscular.

You could but it might choke if it doesnt chew the food, mine just swallows its food without chewing and its choked 3 times.

It really depends on the dog food but it should be around 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 cups a day.
