Frontline, Frontline Plus, and Frontline spray are all safe
for tick control. One tube of the cat size once a month.
With the spray: 2 sprays per pound of ferret (ie a 2 pound ferret
gets 4 sprays) (from Ferret Health List)
NO, but you can use frontline plus for kittens on a ferret
No. The only approved flea treatement for ferrets is Revolution, which is usually available from your vet. You can use the kitten dose of Frontline to treat your ferret for fleas, just use one drop per pound of ferret. (2lb ferret= 2 drops)
Best and safe treatment for ticks on a ferret is either Advantage or Frontline. You will need to remove and disinfect the cage, bedding and treat surrounding areas. Never pull ticks out from a ferret's skin. You can put a drop of alcohol on the tick and it should drop off within 24 hours, if not, simply repeat the process
I would not recommend it. I do know you should never put the canine Frontline on a cat. You should use the canine Frontline for the dog according to his weight and the same for a cat, use feline Frontline only. Why mix them?
i put frontline on my diabetic cat and she has been puking ever since . can bathing her get that frontline off of her
On its face.
If you put a harness on your ferret to tight, then they can choke. you mostly wont have to worry about it.
Try a ferret rescue, most rescues can put you in touch with one.
Dogs need more than 50 times the recommended dose of Frontline before having a toxic affect. Therefore it is highly unlikely that putting on too much Frontline will kill your dog. The recommended dosage should be more than adequate to kill the fleas on your dog.
You can put a ferret in a hamsters cage on a temporary basis as long as it's not being used to house hamster's as the ferret will kill them. A ferrets needs a large size cage made for ferrets.
