humpback whale eats around 5000 krill one day.
Alot. About 10 fish i guess.
several tons a day
several tons a day
100 to 500 kg
A blue whale generally eats about 40 million krill a day, sometimes eating up to 7,900 lbs of krill in a single day.
Its favorite food is "Krill". An Adult blue whale can kill upto 40 million krill per day. They can eat nearly 3500 kilograms of krill in a single day. They need nearly 1.5 million kilocalories of energy per day and so, they nearly eat nonstop. Small fish, crustaceans and squids too get caught when they trap krill in their mouth
Humpback whales are carnivores that eat tiny crustaceans (krill, superba, copepods, etc.), plankton, and small fish (including herring, mackerel, capelin, and sandeel) from the water. They are gulpers: they swim then gulp a mouthful of plankton or fish. An average-sized humpback whale will eat around 5,000 pounds of plankton, krill and small fish each day during the feeding season in cold waters (about 120 days). They eat twice a day.
Well, they have to eat that much or they won't survive/ they won't be satisfied and happy. But I don't think that they eat krill, I think it's plankton...
An average whale eats 2,000 to 2,500 kilograms of food each day.
Well average whale can eat 4 tons of krill a full day :) do you understand better or are u still confused hope not . Good luck!!!

it really Depends on the type of whale. there are quite a few different types. The diet of a sperm whale is vastly different than the one that of a humpback whale. A humpback whale swims through the ocean straining out millions of tiny animals such as krill using its bubble net, while a sperm whale dives deep to hunt the giant squid, which it bites and tears apart with its huge teeth.
